1. Introduction & acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and HouseOne, operated by Hector DeLeon III, a sole proprietor based in Victoria, Texas, USA ("HouseOne," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the HouseOne app or houseone.ai, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use HouseOne.

2. Description of service

HouseOne is a private app for a single household. It provides a family map with location sharing, saved places with arrival/departure alerts, a shared family calendar, family and direct messaging, an optional AI helper ("Nicole"), a family-only SOS alert, and related family-safety features. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create your own HouseOne account.
• A child under 13 may participate only through a profile created and managed by a parent or guardian, with that parent's consent.
• If you invite or add family members, you are responsible for having the right to do so and for their use of HouseOne within your family.

4. Account registration

• Provide accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and account credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• Share your account credentials or let someone else use your account.
• Use HouseOne to stalk, harass, monitor, or track any person who has not consented to share with you.
• Add or track anyone — inside or outside your family — without their knowledge and consent (a parent's oversight of their own minor child is the exception, consistent with our Privacy Policy).
• Circumvent parental controls or safety settings if you are a child in a managed family.
• Use HouseOne for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.
• Interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

6. Content you provide

You may provide content such as messages, place names, event details, and family information ("Your Content"). You own Your Content. By providing it, you grant HouseOne a limited license to store, process, and display it to your family in order to operate the service. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to share it. Do not post content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

7. Subscriptions & payments

HouseOne is a subscription app — there is no free tier. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: you choose a plan when you create your account and are not charged until the trial ends.

• Silver — $19.99/month. Gold — $24.99/month. A Platinum plan is coming after launch.
• Your trial is free for 7 days; unless you cancel before it ends, your plan renews monthly at its price. You can cancel anytime in Settings.
• Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store, and refunds follow Apple's App Store refund policy.

In-app purchases are being finalized; the prices shown in the app are current, but billing may not yet be active in every build. We always present clear renewal terms and your trial end date in the app before any charge.

8. Location services

HouseOne uses your device's location to share it with your family. You control whether you share your location through in-app Settings and your device's system permissions. A parent admin may require a minor child's location sharing, as described in our Privacy Policy. Location sharing is foreground-only today (while the app is open).

HouseOne relies on third-party services to work, including Google (optional calendar sync), Anthropic (the Claude API that powers Nicole), Apple (maps and app distribution), and an error-monitoring provider. Your use of connected third-party services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or actions beyond our reasonable control.

11. Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability

HouseOne is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HouseOne and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) HouseOne. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.

12. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion follows a 30-day grace period before your data is permanently purged, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to HouseOne will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Victoria County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as HouseOne grows. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of HouseOne after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
